Does Gus Wortham Golf Course have a driving range? Playing to as much as 6400 yards, Gus Wortham is a fun course located only minutes from downtown. A full driving range and practice putting green is available for practice or warming up daily. The last bucket of range balls will be sold at 5 p.m. Tee times are available daily.
Who designed Gus Wortham Golf? Club members, led by A. W. Pollard, leveled, drained, and cleared the native landscape to advance the layout for a new course, retaining native oaks and pines. In 1914, the course hosted its first invitational, a tradition that continued for the next 39 years.
