Is Subair right for your golf course?

Is Subair right for your golf course?

When you’re the recognized innovator and expert in both surface and subsurface aeration as well as moisture removal systems, astute golf course professionals take notice. For decades, those respected courses, unwilling to let Mother Nature consistently play havoc with their conditions, have turned to SubAir.

What is a sub air system?

The Sub Air system connects to the existing drainage piping system underneath a USGA spec green, and it can suck moisture out of the ground so that water doesn’t linger on the greens to slow them down and soften them.

How does the SubAir sport system work?

Automated operation of the SubAir Sport System will activate according to set soil condition parameters set by turf managers and SubAir turf specialists. With active monitoring, the systems can respond to sudden changes in soil conditions. In a sudden downpour the vacuum systems activate to eliminate excess moisture in the soil profile.

How does a sub air system work on a golf green?

When golfers walk on soft and spongy greens, they can also damage them with weight, twisting and the normal wear-and-tear that comes with playing golf. There are sensors installed in the green complexes to measure moisture and other factors, which superintendents can use to determine when they need to turn on the Sub Air system and suck out water.
